Breakthroughs only happen when you Let go of Helplessness

Breakthroughs only happen when we let go of Helplessness. In observing others as I do when I enjoy my people watching moments I always take away the same thing. You truly become your thoughts and your actions follow shortly after. Take for instance those people who walk around in a state of surrender.

With so much going on in the world that can cause us despair we can't help but fall into a gray hole. From constant destruction, political turmoil and lack of kindness our hearts and minds can easily be clouded over. It is at these moments that we must build our strength to carry on. It is in these precise moments that we must shed the old and Build a new. It will be a challenge at times, daily efforts must be made but it can totally be done. It doesn't have to be this big transformation all at once. You can try and focus perhaps on just one thing.

My daughter is currently focused on learning to respect other people's life journey and speaking positive or staying shut. Recent events in our lives, losing Baby #2 (my grandmother) has truly tested her and even myself regardless of practicing Mindfulness for over five years. Life tests us daily this is what I shared with her that what has worked for me:

-breathing

-closing my eyes

-putting myself in someone else's place

-slowing down my thoughts

-when all else fails to Stay Quiet

-practice practice practice

Working on maintaining good Mental health is a must. We can never neglect our own needs and expect to be of any use to others. This is why avoiding sitting in despair and helplessness is so important. Changing our perspective, slowing down and being kind to ourselves assists us with helping others. Small things that help us break through the tough times.

I continue to adjust my thoughts daily, my grandmother's transition is something still so new. Almost a month later I still stop and think "am I forgetting something?" then I realize "no you just don't have to do that anymore." It would easy to fall into a slump but Life is for the Living. I instead put that energy into my volunteer duties and help someone else out.

What do you do when you feel stuck in a situation? How have you coped with life's bad moments? Share here would love to learn from you.

Always stress free xo,

Mari
